Asbestos Management

The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2004 placed a legal duty to manage the risk from materials containing asbestos. If you are a landlord or a tenant with a full repairing lease then you have obligations in terms of this legislation.

These obligations include:

• Taking reasonable steps to locate materials likely to contain asbestos

• Keep and maintain records of the location, condition and risk exposure from these asbestos materials or materials likely to contain asbestos

• Prepare and implement a Management plan to control these risks

• Supply this information to anyone who is liable to come into contact with the asbestos.

Our company can ensure you comply with these obligations and can maintain your register, carry out surveys, annual inspections and provide detailed reports.

Property Management and Maintenance

We have experience in reviewing and in the production of planned maintenance programmes, life cycles and costings and compliance with stock transfer contracts.

This aspect of our work has grown in importance recently due to the legislative requirements recently introduced – Scottish Housing Quality Standards and Private Landlord Registration Requirements.
